Sangaree Animal Hospital is proud to be one of the first general practices in the Summerville area to partner with the only board-certified veterinary anesthesiologist in the state of South Carolina. We are excited to work with Dr. Dianna Ovbey, DVM, MS, DACVAA of Southeast Veterinary Anesthesia Services.
By partnering with Southeast Veterinary Anesthesia Services, we are able to offer tailored anesthetic and pain management plans for your pet as well as onsite monitoring by a board-certified veterinary anesthesiologist. We regularly update and improve our anesthetic knowledge and practice of our doctors and staff as well. These services are particularly beneficial for patients who are considered high-risk cases--patients with heart or kidney disease, and for clients who are generally nervous about anesthesia.
Dr. Dianna Ovbey is an experienced board-certified veterinary anesthesiologist whose focus is on the safe administration of anesthesia and appropriate pain management for pets. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, her Masters of Science degree from Michigan State University, and completed her anesthesia residency at Michigan State University. She has worked with specialists in many fields including surgery, dentistry, radiation oncology, internal medicine, and emergency/critical care. Dr. Ovbey has provided care to both large and small animals in academic and private practice settings.
We are constantly striving to provide the best care possible for your family pet. You can find out more about Dr. Ovbey and Southeast Veterinary Anesthesia Service here and follow her on Facebook here.
